Gas Transmission Property Testing for Contact Lens

1. User Requirements:
To carry out gas transmission property testing in certain temperature and humidity conditions.

2. Standard Requirements:
As per GB/T 19789.

3. Test Design:
3.1 Contact lens has limited area, special shape and certain radian. Thus, the supportive frame for contact lens test should coincide with the lens without gaps. Meanwhile, the block on the contact lens should also achieve such effect. Otherwise, negative influences on the testing results would happen.
3.2 Temperature and humidity should be well observed during testing.

4. Testing Procedure (as per Fig.1 Structural Drawing of the Whole Testing System)
4.1 Customize the supportive part of the supportive frame according to the radian of the contact lens. Sealing ring is under the block so as to hold down the contact lens properly and guarantee testing operation.

4.2 There is temperature control system around the testing chamber so as to realize precise control over temperature. The humidity can be easily generated with the humidity system in this instrument.

5. Conclusion:
The above testing instrument and corresponding tests are proved to be satisfactory.
